Anyone running Magnepan MMG-W & MMG-C setup?
My Martin Logan's are in their last steps it seems with the panel giving in. I am looking into new speakers and I came across the Magnepan's lower end offering. I was first looking into getting just the MMG's for 2 channel but now I am intrigued with replacing my LSi setup with their panels after reading nothing more than glowing reviews. Due to the room I would most likely get the MMG floor standers for fronts and MMG-W's for surrounds. Debating whether 7.1 setup makes any sense with these or if 5.1 is plenty.
Feeding them good clean power would not be an issue. More concerned with their performance in HT. As always I do trust the Polk forum opinions more than other sites as I know many of you are very critical listeners. Just wanting some opinions before I make an order. I was thinking of starting with a pair of MMG-W's to see if I like the overall sound, or should I start with MMG's if they sound considerable different as fronts? These would be mated with SVS PC-Ultra. At this time the 1.7's are not in my radar but that would be the obvious upgrade path when the time comes in the near future.

I have a buddy who is running the MMGs in a 5.2 setup and while it isn't completely my cup of tea, it works really well in his very wide open living room theater.
He is running a pair of Paradigm subs vs the SVS you have and I think that is the only area that I feel it is lacking.
