Audioholics Steve Wilson interview (never heard of him)

Yeah I watch their youtubes sometimes, sorry. Anyway the interview mostly sucked except Steve seemed like a cool musician etc. They talked about Steve's remixes and his latest release "Hand cannot erase" blew ray. I was so curios that I bought a copy from Amoeba records for 18 bucks or so. I thought it was pretty darned good so I just bout his remix of "Yes: Close to the edge" blue ray/cd which is lots of fun as well.
Are any of you folks into any of Steve Wilson's stuff, if so do you have any recommendations that are worth checking out?

I have the Close To The Edge DVD-A. Its cool. I want the In The Court Of The Crimson King DVD-A as well. He is highly regarded in the multichannel world. I've never listened to Porcupine Tree. His remix of Jethro Tull's Aqualung is supposedly superb. I have not had a chance to hear it myself but the buzz is really good that this is 'the one' to get.

Amazon has it for 22 bucks, I think it is the SW mix

Big fan here, I don't love everything he does but I do like most of it. Porcupine Tree is/was one of my favorite bands and I've got 27 albums of theirs between all the teamsters and imports.
PT is a good Reference baseline, his solo stuff tends to be more progressive and challenging to listen to, and stuff like Blackfield tends to be easier and more pop oriented.
From a sound quality perspective everything he touches seems to turn to gold so I'd have no issue blind buying any album that he's mastered if I like the music. I also like it when he gets involved with some of my other favorite artists like Opeth as it tends to bring their albums up a notch as well. -
LOVE PorcTree and the more accessible solo works; not so much Bass Communion. The multichannel mixes are very enjoyable too.b]Beach Audio[/b]: Rega RP6 (mods) - AT33PTG/II - Parks Budgie SUT - PSAudio NPC * Eversolo DMP-A6 * Topping D90iii * Joule-Electra LA-100 mkIII * Pass Aleph 30 * MIT S3 * Polk SRS 2.3tl (mods) * PSAudio PPP3
