    The ravages of diabetes have laid him low. He hasn't been able to stand during his concerts for quite a while now. Just read that three of his kids are already fighting over his estate. Sad to see his last days like this.

    First time I saw him, was great. Class act. Giving guitar picks to kids during the show and all. Second time I saw him he was already showing signs of illness. Still put on a show, but his band did most of the heavy lifting.

    This is just sad, BB is a legend and near the end of his life. Now comes the greedy people. Who knows what the truth is??

    Saw him a couple years ago and he sat, and talked between songs alot. But was still very good. Glad I finally got to see him perform live. He was one of the hardest working acts around, very sad to hear that he is not doing well. So many stories about managers, from the Beatles, Dylan, Johnny Winter, the list goes on and on.

    I saw B.B.in concert back in 1988. The ballroom had probably 2000 people there, good show too. Within the 2 years I saw him on tv on PBS special 4th of July show from D.C. He looked really bad, had problems with the songs. I think the network tried to pass it off as his guitar or amp not working, and B.B. fumbling around with the guitar or cable? it was really quite embarrassing to see him like that in front of a huge crowd. He looked like someone who was at the old age and struggling with dementia. Some of the info I read sounded like some of his kids weren't close to B.B. at all, and now they expect to get in line for inheritance?

    For me his guitar playing was never his greatest talent. His voice is magnificent, so incredibly soulful and expressive. One of my favorite tunes he sang was "When Love Comes to Town", with U2. When he comes in after Bono it raises my pulse, makes me want to get up and dance.

    My very first concert was B.B. King in 1970. I've probably seen him 30 times over the years, He has been in poor health for several years but could still tear that Gibson up !!!! When Hospice is called in, it's pretty much over. Play on Mr. King, play on.

    It was his golden voice and stage personality that did it for me, not his guitar ability, or lack of. Sad hte children are coming out of the woodwork already. He had 15 kids (according to the article) and outlived at least one of them! Missed he will be. If it's bonafied blues guitar playing from the golden era I wanna hear it's Freddie King for me! (may He RIP) Prayers go out to B.B, and his loved ones!
