in Speakers
Hi all,
Last night I had on Need for Speed (movie) on cable/FiOS. The rear right speaker started making a crackling sound during scenes that involved screeching tires. It was very audible crackle/pop.
I will be doing some testing to make sure it isn't the in-wall wiring or any other wiring issues.
I bought the speakers about 2 years ago and have been looking/waiting for the eBay store to get a pair of RTi6 available, but it's been a while.
Anyway, in terms of the RTi4/6 is there any benefit to waiting on the RTi6 if using for rears? My crossover is at 80hz.

I like both, but have the 4's as my rears and really really like them. If you were talking about fronts, I might go back and forth as to which one to get, but for rears I think you'd be happy with the 4's and save a couple of bucks.

Yeah, that is a good point. The specs seem to be almost the same, with the exception of the larger woofer, which can get a bit lower. My crossover is set to 80hz anyway, so I don't know that I'd notice the RTi6 back there...

The eBay store should have more 6s in stock by then end of the month. They will be around $270.
I might hold off until there is a good sale.
I missed the friends and family which I could have gotten the rti a3s for $200....
Maybe next time
I'll check out the crossover, but my avr only has one crossover for all channels.
