A shot of the front of the room.
I'll post some screen shots after I've had a chance to set up the projector a bit more. -
Looks great Frank, very clean set up.Political Correctness'.........defined

Frank,
It looks wonderful! -
Great set up Frank. I love the red room. I plan to make my future 2ch room red too. I want to make it look like a mini opera house with a wooden frame of the outer parts of the stage with a red curtain inside.

looks awesome frank!
I'm guessing you haven't calibrated everything in the new setup yet, but maybe move the center forward a bit to eliminate reflections off the rack? -
I'm with F1. "Clean" is exactly the word that came to mind.
Nice, Frank...More later,

Thanks folks, I appreciate all feedback!.
I know it looks like the rack and CC are really close to the wall but there is actually some space between them. Cable management, Audio and Video Calibration are scheduled for this weekend.
I gotta tell ya folks, after just a couple of hours with the PJ, I can't imagine watching a smaller display again. I surfed through a few SD channels and was surprised at the picture quality, I was expecting a very grainy picture. Everything really did look pretty damn good! Now as far as HD goes......:D ...Major Jaw Dropping Image Quality!!! You've just gotta see it to believe it. I also put on Monsters Inc. to see how the PJ handled the bright colors...... ! I'm looking forward to getting it tweeked a bit more and then I'll be ready to rewatch everythingon my DVD rack!
On a personel note I've gotta post a public thanks to my wife for putting up with, supporting, and even encouraging my obsession with this highly addictive hobby. She's been supportive and never complains about the changes I've made in the last few years, hell she buys more DVD's than I do! She truly is the Better Half of this union!! Thanks Deb!!:)
(Yes she'll read this...she keeps an eye on all of us.;) -

Just gotta love the name of that theater Frank
Is this your first PJ? Looks great! What size screen? When you get the chance, spin Finding Nemo, that looks beyond amazing with colors, details and gives off a very 3D image.
Peace Out~:DIf...

gidrah,
Thanks! I couldn't find one that would work for me so we decided to go with the DIY Flexy option. Turned out pretty good for $100 worth of materials.
Ron,
Yep it's my first PJ. The screen is a 98" DIY. Finding Nemo is one of the movies I'm going to watch again this weekend, along with quite a few others.:D
Drew,
Guilty As Charged!:D -
Yep Frank, when I went from my 46" RPTV to my 80" DIY I was so impressed that I could never go back. The large FP image really puts the theater in home theater. Big sound is one thing, but big picture is just, if not more impressive.
I would like to go bigger, but I can't. The throw distance of my Panny will not mount far enough back to give me the 90" screen I wanted. Oh well, when I upgrade PJs next year, I'll be checking throw distances a bit more closer.
Congrats and enjoy!
Peace Out~:DIf...

Thats a rather nice picture there. You must have a nice digital camera to boot. Its so vibrant. Please post more if you find shots that are worthy of being posted. Keep us updated on your experiences with the new screen.

Sterling,
Thank you, that means a lot to me. I've seen some really fantastic HT's on the net but I'm damn proud of mine. It's not perfect, but then again I haven't won the lotto....yet! -

Thanks All!
I falled to mention that one of the benifits to this upgrade was an improvement in overall sound quality. I was amazed at how much better the front sound stage sounds without the Mits. talking up so much room. -
Frank,
Very nice.
I noticed you moved your sub in one of the pics next to the flexy rack. Getting rid of some corner gain for a flatter curve there?
Also, no Anthem logo. Has it turned out to be good for you in the past couple of months or still just got a "bad taste of them" from your dealings with their customer service?
How do I get to the guest book? -
Man I am so jealous. I can't do FP, unless I get the living room...;)
I got a better chance of seeing THE MAN walking on water:p -
Paul,
I dumped the Anthem Logo and still feel pretty crappy about the whole situtation. Had to make room for the Sony logo too.
I did move the sub out of the corner, I've got a pretty nasty dip in low frequencies that I'm trying to correct. I may have to try a few different places before I get it smoothed out.
The guest book is accessed via a linK on the bottom of my home page, right next to the counter. The one on the end is for viewing the guest book entries. -

Good luck. These type of things take a lot of patience. I'm trying to find the best location myself for my sub as well.
Man I don't see anything next to the counter on the home page. Do I need to get LASIK again
