These were re-foamed with the correct filleted surrounds about 2 years ago. Light use in a bedroom system since then. The cabinets, while not perfect, are very nice. No bashed corners or any other significant flaws. No water damage. Grills are in good shape. No busted pegs. Crossovers are original.
Local pickup in zips 19606 or 19341. Polkie price, $60.

Do these have the 10" woofer?
-
Yes,they are 10".

I thought so. Are these the ones with real wood used on the tops and bottom front? The cabinets look substantial and have some heft to them, and with a 10" should have some decent bass. Someone local should grab these at this price, GLWTS Dave .

Any chance of shipping?

These don't get the respect of the Kloss-era Advents, but they are quite respectable loudspeakers; the tweeter is (I'd opine) better sounding & generally more capable than the "fried egg" tweeters used in the Original Large Advents (OLA).

I won't completely rule it out, but I currently have no shipping materials I could use. They would probably be best shipped in two separate boxes. Once you take packing material cost & shipping cost into consideration, I think you'd be better off finding a pair locally. They seem to come up fairly often near me, though at the moment there seems to be a lull in Advents for sale on my nearby Craigslists, which in part has spurred me to put these up for sale. Truthfully, I'm not sure putting $60 in my pocket is worth the time It'd take me to box them. I tend to be extremely thorough & it would take me at least an hour, probably more like two to box them to my satisfaction.

But how do they sound playing some BLS?afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
