Has anyone mounted carpet spikes to a PSW-450? If so, where did you get the spikes and what did you use to attach them with? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

haven't done it to a psw450, but you can get the spikes from crutchfield-$10.95 for pack of 8, i also saw a line item for rt speaker spikes on this site as well, i think only around $4/four (not sure if these would work though). check out crutchfield's website or call polk to see exacly what the rt spike they have are???
for most spikes you can drill a 3/8-1/2" deep hole and thread the spikes into the wood
good luck... -
bye the way, welcome to the forum...:D
what else you running in your system??? -
i pulled off the spikes on all my speaks when i moved into my new house with hard wood floors and put the regular feet on them.
one day after we lived here for about a month i had noticed that 1 sub had been moved thinking that it might just have been bumped i put it back. few dayz later, again i noticed it had been moved. so i chkd the other one sure enuff it was in a new location. so with my curiosity i cranked up some bassy music and watched my subs. sure enuff they were sliding around on the floor with enuff bass bumpin' i could actually see movement. now they have spikes and are stuck too the floor. the other spkrs are fine.

Check out partsexpress.com where they have varying lengths of carpet spikes. I used the 1.5 carpet spikes on my sub and took out the woofer and installed acoustic foam on the sides of the sub to give it more oopm. Much better sound.
