I have RTI A3's, CSI6 and a psw10. Should I get the Pioneer VSX-80 or for $100 the SC-1223k or Denon x3000? Percentage wise, how noticeable would the class D amp of the 1223k be?
Or should I just stick with my Onkyo SR-tx 608? Really only upgrading for sound, to make the rti/csi sing, so if the differences are insignificant I could wait for the 4k/atmos to pan out.

If your looking to upgrade that Onkyo, then the SC- 1223 should be the one to get, however look into the Onkyo TX-NR838 running only a 3.1 any of those will do. All of the above are 4k and Atmos ready. However the only 2 with preouts should you want to add an external amp down the road the SC-1223 or the Onkyo I mentioned would be the ones to get.Home Theater

Have never heard Rtis on a Pioneer. But I have heard them on an Onkyo and OLDER Denons. And the older, higher model Denons were warmer and more musical. So if music is a consideration, listen to the Denon.
However, as far as HT, Onkyos and Rits are a fine match.Currently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!

The Elite VSX-80 has preouts too.

I have a bedroom system 5.1 with the RTI,s. Driven by a sony ES 5200, sounds terrific, plenty of power, and pre-outs. A used one can be found for around $200-300. They have a 5 year warranty. A used one a year or so old would be worthy of consideration.Emotiva XPA5, Sony ES 5300,: Lsi 15,s LSIC, Monitor 70,s, ( side surrounds) FXI 3,s, (rear surrounds)Micropro4000, Velodyne DEQ 10, Sony 55inchXBR 930D Sony BDP 790 Bedroom rig SonyES 3200 RTIA1,s CSIA4 FXI3,s polk PSW 10 SONY 34inch XBR960:cool:SONY BDP550
