Polk Mini-Monitors Help?

I have an old pair of Polk Mini-Monitors black Peerless and need a cross over schematic to do a recap.
Anyone have some input on how to rebuild these.
Speakers produce sound but seem a bit weak in the tweeter section.
Like to bring them to life for the bedroom setup.

Not sure of schematics being in the vintage section for the mini monitors. Not much to the crossover...just pull it and replace with same values but higher quality capacitors and resistors and you will be good to go.
2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer. -
These are the MM's!!

Per Crossover;
Caps
(1) 12uF 50V or higher
(1) 34uF 50V or higher
Resistors
(1) 1ohm 5W or higher
(1) 2.7ohm 5W or higher
For caps I like Sonicap, Clarity are also good. For resistors I like MIlls.
You should remove the fuses and clean the ends as well as the holder clips.

Any links to locations to buy the parts?
Got my last stuff for my KLH model sixes from parts express.
Have everything but 34uF caps at Parts Exspress.

You can also use a 33uf cap in place of the 34 uf.

Whats wrong with Dayton?
My KLH sixes have been running for three years with a set.
Just asking.
These caps are an odd size but i found close enough on Sonic Craft, thanks.
I don't want to dump a whole bunch into these in case the Peerless tweets are going south.
They just have a weak output, but then again I thought my KLH tweeter was totally dead on one speaker until I re caped them then Wow it started working again, and outstandingly well in fact. -
Dayton is ok. SonicCaps are many levels better. While you are upgrading why not spend a little more and be done. You asked opinions, and Sonic Caps and Mills are the go to choices for great performance upgrade to vintage Polks. The mini monitors are a fairly rare find and deserve a good upgrade to really impress you for their size. I have two pair myself along with 2 sets of Monitor 7's and a set of Monitor 10's that will be upgraded eventually.

Parts ordered!
Hope the Tweeters sing again.
Thank you guys.
I guess I shouldn't be cheap as I only paid $6.00 for the pair, that's the best part.

A pair of MMs followed me home last week. However, these have beveled rear sides (making them six sided when viewed from the top) and they are fused. Where can I get woofer foam for them? These are heavy little suckers and they have the Peerless tweeter mounted in the center, between the passive radiator and mini woofer.Post edited by VOT on
