Boom Swimmer
Well, like Gudnoyez, I picked up a boom swimmer (along with 4 pairs of the Boom wrap headphones for the family) during the F&F sale. This was my first Bluetooth speaker, so my analysis of it was based on nothing to compare it to. We played with it here and there around the house (mostly my daughters with their I-devices. I was quite impressed with the sound from the little guy (yes, it is a guy since it looks just like a sperm).
This morning, I took the 'tail' off and used the suction cup mount, took it in the shower for the first time, and paired with my Samsung tablet. Started playing Muse - The 2nd Law. Let me just tell you the sound improved DRAMATICALLY when I stuck the speaker to the shower wall. We have a fiberglass shower insert in our master, and the air behind the insert turned the entire shower stall into a subwoofer. It knocked my socks off (well, I didn't really have my socks on in the shower - that would be weird)! Don't know if that was intentional in it's design, but man, it works great.
One word of caution... the suction cup will hold it in place for about 8 hours. Trust me... I put it in the shower last night before bed, and woke up this morning to a loud bang when it completely lost suction and fell to the shower floor. Thankfully, no damage to either the speaker or the shower. Yeah, using the tail around the shower head would be more stable, but the added bass using the suction cup is worth the minor inconvenience of attaching and removing it each morning.
Love the new shower tunes!

Glad to see somebody else is enjoying tunes in the shower, had Norah Jones with me in the shower this mornin . If you wet the bottom of the suction cup it will hold forever, well worth the price we got them for, and well worth the regular price.Home Theater

Also picked one up and am enjoying it. Wish the suction cup had the same effect on the sound in my shower. I didn't notice a difference between the tail and the suction cup.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

Try sticking it to your ****. You intestines become an infinite baffle. JUST KIDDING!!

Oh man... that's just wrong Ken! Although, didn't Bose try something similar with their wave radio? Wonder where they got the idea...
And on a more serious note - Gud - I did try wetting the suction cup... maybe our shower surround is a little porous...
Paul, it probably depends on the material your shower is made of. Mine is 2x4 and 2x6 studs with open air on one wall, insulation on in the other two walls, and a fiberglass shower unit. I imagine the thin wall of the fiberglass surround combined with all the air between the insert and the outer wall helps. Additionally, our insert is one piece. It's pretty cool actually, the speaker actually bounces on the suction cup similar to the way a speaker cone bounces with bass. It is absolutely night and day between the sound. Good either way, but great with the added bass. I doubt you'd get the same effect if you had a tile wall, or a multi-piece or thicker insert. -
