In my bedroom I have a Nikko 6065 -34watt receiver that's fine. A set of JBL-G-200 speaker also ok. Now my faccta Sony DVP NS300 is doing something weird. It plays any store bought or garage sale legit CDs with no problems or no artifacts what so ever. Just in the last few days if refuses to play my burned CDs from my local library or borrowed from friends. Now they do work on my Denon 1940ci in my big rack so what's going on. Truth be told I did get it w/ remote for $10 at a garage sale but does work but now it's picky on what it wants to play. Go figure this one out.

Are all the CD-R's in question the same brand?
Did a little reading, it looks like the NS300 doesn't support CD-R/RW playback, had to go up to the NS400 for that. Maybe lucky that you got any burned discs to play, I'm not sure.

Can't say for sure that they are ALL CD-Rs. Clearly not all the same brand, some Maxell, Memorex and Sony. If that's the case you my friend quite possibly solved this wacky mystery. I still do have a full package of Memorex CD-R and maybe re burn some of the beat Cds from my computer library and see if that does it. Thanks for the quick response. Different brands vary in materials and how reflective they are, consequently how strong the laser will reflect back at.
Burn at the slowest speed possible for best chances that it will work in older CD players as well as players that don't officially support CD-R/RW's.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
