Best distance from back wall?

Options
Almost ready to hook my system with the SDA 2As.
What is the best spacing for the speakers: from side walls, between each other, from the back wall.

Many thanks to all of you who have helped get to this point.

According to Dr. Raife Smith's SDA Handbook - 3 ft from the side walls with a minimum of 6-8ft between the speakers. Listening position at an equal distance to the distance between the speaks. Absolutely no toe-in. Mine are each set up exactly 7 3/4" from from the back wall - but I don't know if there's a spec for that - it's where they sound best in my slightly crowded listening space (I only have two feet on either side to the wall). You should check out the SDA handbook online - much if not everything you need to know about SDA is there!

Go to Vr3mods.com look for the SDA Handbook

Generally, 5 to 6 inches from the back wall with as little as a 1/4" making or breaking the bass.

What kind of entertainment center? Big solid cabinet or open kind of rack type? Either way, try them closer to the back wall.

I have CRS+. With rear-firing PR, 6" from the back wall doesn't work, at least not in my room. Bass becomes way too boomy. Mine are about 15" from the back wall and the bass is still chest-pounding. But CRS+ is a unique case.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
