Has anyone noticed how much the site traffic has picked up lately? Is it because I came back? Ahhaha! It's almost like it used to be, except you can't say words like "crap".

I'm watching the nightly news without Brian Williams and they reported that the gyro captain from The Road Warrior just landed on The White House lawn.

I like Brian Williams. Not really sure what he was thinking. His personality is very much like mine...extremely sarcastic (if you've ever seen him on Letterman), so keep that in mind if I ever piss someone off. I kid around, but most people don't know I'm kidding around. I'm really harmless.

I am really shocked that traffic has picked up. And in my opinion, it's no where whatsoever close, as to what it once was. Actually even before the great Vanilla ice cream cone upgrade, it was not what it once was. There was so much valuable information lost with this "upgrade"....it's really sad! And Polk does not seem to care. So we have to rely on certain members now for that information. And luckily many of them still are here or visit on the occasion.

For me, I use to come here to search for info. I go to gimpod.com now for the most part!

I was never a member here during it's heyday. I remember talking to Tony about this. When I joined the old forum, I figured there were only 100 users that actually posted there on a regular basis. There were people that posted a couple times a month, but probably only 50 that were there daily that actually posted. I'm sure there are a lot of people that come here just to read and never bother to post. There are a lot of people that join to get a few questions answered, but don't stick around after. I remember at the bottom of the old forum it told you how many members there were and how many "active members". I wonder what the criteria was to be considered an active member. I remember thinking that that number seemed very high compared to the "regular members". My only experience with the old forum was during it's last year.

I have been a member here for 12 years. The site does have an ebb and flow. A few key stone members and others that come and go.

I lurk daily. Does that count? Seriously, I am on here daily, & while I've read up on a lot of gear, I don't have direct experience with much, so I don't post. There are others with way more seat time than me.

When I joined it ebbed when it should have flowed!

Nothing was lost - just rearranged.

I've had trouble finding tons of old threads that I "know" are out there somewhere. Others, when I do find them, won't let me view the photos.

Can someone give me an example of an old photo that doesn't work?

Actually Ken - I owe you a mea culpa, I had some old threads bookmarked and some of the links were busted, but they do in fact all work now, just as DSkip points out - my apologies.

There are a lot of pictures that I had posted that are no longer available. None that were important. I know there are some pages that if it says, "Attachment not found", all you need to do is click on the file name of the photo below it, but it doesn't work in all cases. I've never used photobucket or any off site storage, I always uploaded them directly to the message board.

They were uploaded directly to the message board. I've been on audio related threads and been unable to view pictures before. I just thought perhaps the person had used photobucket and then deleted the photos at a later date. But I know that isn't the case with me. I just used mine as an example because they were easy for me to find.

Perhaps my pics weren't worthy! ~in a Wayne's World sort of voice
