So last week i finally got the MIT cables hooked up. Never listened to it till last night. Turned it on to warm up & put a dvd in & light sound coming from right speaker & no tweeters working. The week link in my Denon gear (pra1200) finally kicked the bucket. Started to listen to the movie playing with the front knobs11851jmrj801.jpg

& it just ate at me. Bingo' i have idea. On the Denon POA2200 there are knobs on back & they adjust power to speakers from amp. Low & behold when hooking the cables up to those big honking speaker connects on back i hit the power knob. Perfect. Something so simple i overlooked when back there made me think the weekest link in my set up was finally toasted was still good. So after 2 movies with the Mrs's she runs off to bed & i slap a Eagles sacd in & listen to it for a hour & i couldnt be more happier with where its at. The SDA's doing 2 channel on movies & music amaze me. The week link will have to wait as i have other projects ahead of that
..
No sub hooked to it. Dont need one. The little Pioneer is just sitting there waiting for buyer

Yeah, I've done something like that. My Amp's have a balanced/unbalanced button on the back and when I unplugged the RCA's to move things around I hit the button on one of them. Turned on some tunes and had no sound from one side...WTF!!!

It's cool when you find out it's something simple... Good to hear you figured it out! B)

I thought the PRA-1200 was the replacement for the PRA-1000? When bought my SDA-1C's in 1989 I paired then with the PRA-1200 and POA-2400.

The 2400 is identical to the 2200, except the level controls are on the front, and there are direct connections on the back that bypass them entirely.

Yes. You are correct. The 1200 i got has issues & i figured id try this route. I wanted the 1500 w/remote. But didnt want to go 200.+ It was only 127.00 to doorstep. If it doesnt pan out im going to go tube preamp. I really enjoy the poa2200. Ive used it cd player-to-amp & it is perfect. But i need the preamp because i run turntable & sacd player & tuner also. So a pre that has issues is a problem.
