OK - I KNOW we have a few Canadians here.

I was thinking that it might work out well if we were to give each other the "Heads Up" on good deals, used equipment, exchange, demo, and trade software, and hardware much like our southern brothers.

I would dearly love to snap up a pair of SDA's - however freight and brokerage is a killer.

I am in Red Deer, AB

    Toronto, Ontario.

That's a great idea. If I see killer deals and stuff, I'll post here.

LOL. I'm too damn close to that cable freak called Derick:D.

Just wondering if you've ever visited Bay Bloor Radio in downtown T.O? They have some sweet stuff there. Energy, Definitive, Totem, KEF, Bryston, Musical Fidelity, etc.

I have been there. The place sort scared the bejesus out of me. There were a good dozen salespeople just standing around waiting to pounce. It was a Saturday early afternoon probably about a year ago.

It's a pretty nice store, with nice stuff. When I was there they were holding a Musical Fidelity seminar that I wasn't able to attend because my buddies thought an hour was too long. My buddies also think I'm a little nuts with this whole audio thing too, so I can' t really blame them. ****.

Yeah, they have a LOT of sales people. But none of them are pushy and they know their ****. I kinda freaked out too the first time I went in. Too bad you couldn't attend the MF seminar, after all, you're a big MF fan. Next time just ditch your friends:D.

    Denon Warehouse Sale

    March 12&13th.
    505 Apple Creek Blvd Markham.
2Lights north of Hwy7 Bet Warden and Woodbine.
I think e-cost prices might sitll be better though but maybe those who attended the last one could shed some light.
    ...
Long line-ups depending on the time you go.. they had some nice hardware, but it's quite pricey since it's pretty high end. I remember seeing $400 DVD players and $350 mini stereos, plus a bunch of mission speakers too. Don't recall exactly all the prices, but they did drop prices on the last day - but don't expect them to have stock on the popular stuff.. Definitely for audiophiles, it won't be as affordable as the Toshiba sale!
