Nurses have been in every hour on the hour.."You look exhausted, you should get some rest!"

Uh...I would love to but every hour you check my vitals and every 4 you draw damned blood!

Hope you're feeling better real soon. Were you able to pick up the CL items for John in Omaha (Maggies etc.) a few weeks ago? Like I said when I joined PF this spring, I've been reading here for years. It seems like there are not too many active members in Nebr. I can only remember about four or five others from around here. You are around DSM right? I think Iowa has maybe a handful of very active PF members. It might be nice in the next year or so if several of us could meet up for a few hours. Take care.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. 3-5 week recovery time but it was a laparoscopic procedure so I have been ambulatory since shortly after recovery.

Get well soon Ryan, and them nurses are just doing their jobs...if they didn't and something shall we say bad happened...one word, litigation. I'll leave it at that.

Ah it's that word again - litigation.

Anyway, I agree - it's interesting that the hospital is the one place that's so difficult get some rest. Between all the poking and the prodding.

I hope you're able to get in many hours of listening during your recovery. That would definitely be making the best of the situation.

My wife had the procedure last April and she's loving it. Just chew well and eat/drink slowly. Might want to get some protein powder to add to your diet. The company Unjury has really good flavored powder. She has lost 115 lbs and feels great.

@footwedge my wife had hers nearly 3 years ago. I went into this with her experiences to be up on the program from the start.
Definitely not a fan of the Unjury protein flavors...hehe. but we found some we both like so there is that.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. also look for a powder that really mixes well. I found one years ago but can't remember what it was but it was great with water or milk or juice.
