Anthem MCA20 No Sound

I don't know if I'm in the right place but seems like a lot of knowledgable guys in here that may be able to help me. I bought this amp new and about a year ago it just stopped working. The power light comes on and if I wiggle the speaker wires I hear some crackling thru the speakers but other than that nothing. I've looked around and don't see anyone with similar problems. Can anyone nudge me in the right direction, it will be truly appreciated. Thank you.

    Both channels, one channel?

Have you tried different speaker cables or different interconnects to verify its not a wiring issue?

Have you checked or replaced the fuse that's on the unit in case its going bad?

I am so sorry I didn't elaborate. It is both channels, I did try different cables and I did check the fuse, which is ok.

What preamp are you running and did this problem just happen overnight?

I first read the post and thought it was about the one that i just sold and got seriously nervous!!!! :D

The light, is it red as in "stand by" or is it green as in "on"?
What are you using up the chain? Does that work?
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

You can relax, take a breath. I bought this one new.
mrbiron .... The light is green. Everything else is and was working fine.
Polkie2009 .... I was using a Parasound PHP-850 preamp. And, yes it did happen overnight. I switched to a Conrad Johnson CAV-50 when switched back it simply did not work. I put it away and haven't messed with it until now. It's out of warranty and I'd rather try fixing it before I decide to send it away. Thanks again for your help.

Are you using bare speaker wire or spades ? Check your speaker connections at both ends. If a wire or spade from both posts are touching each other, you won't get any sound.

I have several different speaker wires that I change periodically just because I forget how the other one is suppose to effect the sound, which by the way is probably mostly in my head ..... but .... I am sure the speaker wires are ok. Thanks

Your sure, or did you check ? Believe me, even we experienced boneheads make the simplest mistakes. This happened to me recently switching speaker cables. I had the bottom posts spades touching each other under the post and out of view. Until I had to investigate no sound and check the obvious first.
