Mission 731 Bookshelf Speakers
Condition: 6/10. In very good working order with cosmetic defects (see pics).
Price: $60 shipped, Paypal gift

Notes: Great little 2-way front-ported bookshelf speakers with excellent imaging. Threaded mounting available on rear. In the mid 90s, these got positive reviews by Stereophile (Nov 1996) as a budget pick. They cost $300/pr new at the time.

I think they are a very good bargain now. They still sound better than most anything you can get for this little money. I bought these used a few years ago and listened to them 2-3 times a week in my small studio with a Squeezebox Touch and NAD integrated and appreciated their clarity, detail, and ability to disappear. I replaced these with modded 5A's (and Dared MP5), so I'm hoping someone can put them to good use once again. If they don't sell for this, I'll just hand off to daughter for apartment next semester.

    I had a pair of those missions and they are a steal for what your asking. GREAT book-shelf speakers. Very nice sounding. If I had the money now, I'd buy them.

    Hey Tony! Yeah, you actually sold me some Missions back when I got your 1c's and you shoved me down the rabbit hole, hehe. 771's (I think) and still going strong on a Sonos system at the beach. Great little speakers.

    Yes indeed, I've never heard a bad Mission speaker system. They're neutral and I feel non-fatiguing with a silky high end.

    Congrats on the sale guys! I was thinking Mission speakers have been around longer than 1996, (mid 80's?) I've always heard they were very well regarded .
