NAD 7400 receiver

Been thinking about picking up one of these to power my Monitor 7's with. Looking for a good receiver with remote capability and a good phono section. I'm curious to see how it compares with my modern Marantz SR4021.

    Modern ? Isn't that receiver like 9 years old already ? The Nad is going to have a more laid back sound, smoother top end than the Marantz signature sound. Not so sure how that pairing would work with vintage M7's.

    I think my Marantz is a 2007 model. Still modern to me compared to silver faced 70's hi-fi which I love but I really like remote control for watching TV and movies.
