Connecting 2 PSW505's to Yamaha a-s2000

Hi Folks, I just got a Yamaha a-s2000 integrated amp and am wondering how to connect two PSW505 subs to it. The Yamaha has 2 pre outs (unfiltered and not labeled L and R). The Polk manual says to connect the L and R receiver pre outs to the L and R line ins for a single PSW505. It does not give instructions for 2 subs. Can I use a single subwoofer cable for each sub and go from one pre out on the Yamaha to one line level in on each sub? If so, does it matter whether I use the L or R line in on the subs? Thanks very much for any help. John

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood you'll need two "Y" cables that have a single female RCA connector on one of the "branches" a single male RCA connector on the other "branch" and a male RCA connector on the "base". Then connect the "base" of both plugs to the right and left preamp outputs on the back of the Yamaha. Then connect the male RCA connector on each of the two "branches" to the power amp inputs on the Yamaha. This completes the connections between the right and left preamp and power amp sections. Then the remaining two females RCA connections on the "Y" cables can be connected to two shielded RCA cables and run to either the right or left line level inputs on the sub, either one is fine.
Then set the variable low pass filters on each subwoofer to the low frequency setting that matches the bass capability of your speakers. Set the two volume controls to the 9:00 o'clock position and adjust up or down to give the best blending with your speakers.

Thanks for the help, Ken. I've ordered y-splitters. Best regards, John
