Hello all, Looking at this Hitachi ht-67 Direct Drive Turntable, good condition, not sure about the cartridge. Is this a decent turntable what is a fair price for this? Thanks!

Those were good entry level tables...actually not bad..better than most in that catagory....what did you give for it?

Considering making an offer on it. They want $200 which I think is way too much.

Keep looking vickievinyl....I've seen those in the 40-75 buck range lately...A week ago I saw one in 'very good' shape for 85... Local buy though...

Kind of a latter-day effort; looks OK but manage one's expectations.
Manual's available at: http://www.vinylengine.com/library/hitachi/ht-67.shtml

Thanks guys, I'm going to pass on this one. I would like to upgrade from my Kenwood KD 3070 which seems to be a better table than the Hitachi. I'll keep looking.

That 3070 is hands down a better piece of equipment than that HT67 you were looking at...build quality is superior...What kind of upgrade were you thinking of? What is your budget?

Hi Msabot, Yes I think so too! I bought it on Ebay for a fair price with a Pickering TL-3 cartridge, and replaced the stylus with a Pickering NOS stereohedron stylus, so it is a quality TT. If I could get another quality TT at a fair price, I would use that in my second system. Not in any hurry to buy one, just thought if I could get a quality TT at a reasonable price, I'd go for it. Ideally I would like to spend no more than $150.

That's a good set up...I have always had a sweet spot for a nice auto TT...I've had my old Dual 1229 since 73... Could never part with it..bought new for around 275 I recall...of course,I've had it worked over a couple of times since then...now my main workhorses are a Music Hall and Sota...but still run the Dual from time to time..Just keep looking..bargains are out there...
