I have some RTI-A9s and I got them close to when they first came out. I am wondering what material of laminate did Polk use? Trying to match my somewhat homemade subs to the Polks. Are they Cherry, Birch, maple, Pine, Oak, or something else?

The cherry colored version is cherry wood veneer. The black version is either oak or ash wood veneer. I never bothered to look at the black version that close, but it's one or the other.Political Correctness'.........defined

Yeah I just found some, it looks like some wood working in the near future. Cherry wood with Cherry stain maybe will be the a close match?

The color (a dye, not a stain) on the RTiA's is mixed into the finish, then sprayed on to obtain a uniform color and prevent blotching, which occurs when a pigmented wiping stain is used on cherry wood. Your best bet is the have the piece finished by a pro because you'll never get a good match using a pigmented wiping stain.Political Correctness'.........defined
