I got the Dared 2000a hooked up today and all I can say is Wow.This thing really brought out another element of my speakers that I was missing.I'm afraid I might be heading down the path of wallet drain,if a preamp makes this much of a difference than I can only imagine what tube amps will do.I have it paired with a Parasound 1200ii and it is a perfect match.I need to get my read on because I can already see where this is heading. :)

    Congrats man! They are fantastic and I have owned pre's that cost way more. I had the mc7p for about a year and was very happy. Tube amps are great but I loved pairing my Dared up with wyred4sound amplification.

    Congrats!! I loved using the Dared. I think that tube preamps are perfect with a lot of SS amplifiers. I used the Dared with my Vincent Hybrid amplifier and loved its sounds! but I wouldn't talk you out of getting a tube amplifier either.
    Enjoy it & I think you gonna have a lot of fun rolling some tubes.
    If you can someday find a Brimar Rectifier - grab it...mostly sold form the UK on ebay.

    Enjoy it man. As I've said before, I've been tempted to pick up a Dared many times, but its just never worked out for me.
