Polk Audio 4Shot connectivity issues

I received a 4Shot headset for Christmas and absolutely love the sound quality. My only problem is that while connected to an Xbox One controller, if the controller turns off or has to have the battery changed, then the headset unsyncs. The game sound continues, but it seems to alternate between I can hear my team but they can't hear me or just no chat at all.
Is this something I need to take up with XBox or can the guys at Polk help me out?
