Can anyone recommend a good (obtainable) 6X4 tube?

I own a Eastern Electric MinMax tube preamp. I really like this thing.
The only stock tube remaining is the 6X4.
Can anyone recommend a good (better) sounding, but obtainable, 6x4 replacement tube?
Thanks,
Tim

You may find some info in this thread from 2005: https://www.avforums.com/threads/tube-rolling-with-rectifier-valves-bit-long-for-tube-a-holics-only.211655/

You have a full wave rectifier.....a 6202 or 6bx4 will substitute...

The two best 6X4 tubes I've tried are the Brimar black plate and Tung-Sol. If you can find one a genuine Holland Amperex 6X4 is great also. Most of the Amperex 6X4s you see are made in Argentina. The ones made in Holland are much better.
