Fxia4 vs Fxia6

I haven't ordered anything during the Friend and Family offer, but Polk sent me an email with a 50% discount valid only today !
Well, i'm thinking i could use it to get some surround speakers since i'm sti running 3.1 (RTiA5 and CsiA4)
I was thinking about some Owm3 or 5, but the Fx line is probably much better. Now, which one to get: 4 or 6 ?
I like the Fxia4 since it's smaller, and i believe it's not so important for surround sounds. But i would like to know from you guys if i'm doing a huge mistake not going for the Fxia6......!

If you can do the 6's I would. That said either will work fine but the 6's are going to have more low end so they can dig deeper if needed, and overall they will sound a bit better due to more cone surface area.
Either is a BIG improvement over the OWM's so for me it comes down to simply which the budget allows for. Make sure you measure your space, they are big (I have the LSi F/X's and they are also big)"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
The A6 are big speakers. Wider than your A5, and as tall as the A3. They sound really good. Running the same front 3 as you. If space is a concern, go A4. The A6 is 14 1/2 high x 13 1/4 wide on the wall side.
Had the RTI A3 as surrounds, they're on rear duty now. Like the A6 much better for surround -
Will the fxia4 be better than the Rtia3?RTiA5 + CSiA4 + Jamo SW410E

Depends on what you want. Some ambient sounds, like insects, animals, off screen conversations, etc are less defined to my ears. Adds a little more realism to the scene.
The A3 on the other hand projected those sounds in a more defined way. I prefer the dipole/bipole speakers for surrounds, but I'm sure that there are others who would disagree.
Never tried them for rears, so won't comment on that. -
Unless you are completely strapped for space in your room, get the A6. Then look into the larger center if it will fit under or above your screen. The RTIA 5 are perfect....look into a sub at some point though. The last thing I would upgrade is the center speaker.

The FXiA6 are the way to go. I have them and they sound great. I don't think they're to big. Big is the LSiM702F/X....now that's big!Anaheim Hills CA,

I was going to get the FxiA4 at first for side surrounds but new I would wonder how the FxiA6's would of been, so I just got the A6's instead glad I did.
