LSiM705's vs Monitor 10's, and Power Requirement

Last day of F&F, and if you asked me yesterday, I'd swear I was feeling just fine with what I have. really pleased with a simple setup in a secondary space with a B&K Reference 5 S2 Preamp, 2ch Parasound amp along with a pair of Monitor 10's with RD0194 tweeters, but man, if I'm not feeling drawn to try the LSiM705's. I like that the mid/tweeter is higher up, and I've enjoyed 703's too. would 705's make for modern replacement of Monitor 10's and still be good for smooth, non-fatiguing sound quality?

Are 705's known to be difficult to drive properly? Would they be significantly more difficult to drive than Monitor 10's?

    I think the sensitivity on the 10's is 89 - the 505's are 88??

I really wanted to go for the 705's but got the 703's.

    Good luck.

The 705's are much, much, much better that the 703's. A much better and balanced sound. I've had both and the 705's are not hard to drive at all. Which Parasound do you have?

I currently have three 705's, I like them that much....I needed to get the 4th speaker during F&F sale....but I'm tapped out right now. Go for it
    Main Rig:

    Second Rig:

I missed it. I shoulda posted that it was somewhat time sensitive, so that's on me.
eh well, gives me something to look forward to down the road if they have F&F again.

The 705 will do things you could only dream of the M10's doing.
    gyaaaaah...
well, that's a promising endorsement, considering how much I already enjoy the m10's with those 194's.

I'm in the same boat as you - kinda tapped out with multiple projects underway, but one other opportunity I'm exploring at the moment as well.
I have an HCA-3500 with BSA upgrades. the plan is to use that with 2.3TL's in my main system, but I have a B&K EX-442 that I would use with 705's, probably.

I do like the 703's as well; maybe next time on the 705's
