Great band. The solo stuff is also fantastic. Definitely a fantastic live band also not just studio.

Thanks for the review, dromunds. I am looking forward to seeing them at SPAC in Saratoga Springs (NY) this summer. I have never seen them live but hear they put on a wonderful show as you noted.

If you've never seen them live I think you will really enjoy the show. 11-piece band, every one a virtuoso. I've seen them in various venues and the venue/crowd does make a difference in the overall ambiance but I've never seen a bad show, quite the contrary. They often play a sprinkling of covers, and Saturday night we heard "Keep On Growing" by Derek & The Dominos, Midnight in Harlem, and I think an Elmore James song. This time they also played a medley towards the end that included "I've Got A Feeling" by the Beatles and also several pieces of Led Zeppelin songs. Have a great time!

Midnight in Harlem is one of my favorites. Susan is one of the few women that i actually listen too and really enjoy.

I think they're about the best thing going right now. Saw them at their Sunshine Music Fest in St. Petersburg in January. Best show I've seen among maybe a dozen. They seem to be steadily improving, especially now that Allman Brothers has ended and full attention is on TTB. The new music they played in St. Pete was excellent. They had finished recording just prior to that date. Looking forward to that release. You can hear some of the St. Pete show at: https://archive.org/details/ttb2015-01-17.Rode_NT_3.16bit

For whatever reason, it's also refreshing to see Derek and Susan play the same guitar through their whole set. He plays that Gibson SG and she plays the Strat, at least I didn't notice either changing their guitar. Some bands play a different guitar for every song, it has gotten distracting to me. Derek is really something, he's focused.
