Have you had a chance to comparethe Hero versus PBJ? You may want to reach out to Dan (endersShadow) and see what his findings are
He has recently done a fairly thorough comparison of the two

Thank you. I will do that. I just received a pair of hero's that I purchasing for audiogon and I am blown away with the sound. I am now on the prowl for another set. The PBJ's seem quite a bit less expensive than the hero's.

The Hero has a little bit better flushed-out mids, and slightly deeper bass versus PBJ, but I could live with either. PBJ would be better if your speakers are little too laid back in the treble.

You can save some coin going with the hero w/eletroplate connectors in-lieu of the WBT's. I have both in my system, and can't really tell any difference.

The Hero's are nice, no doubt--I have no desire to replace mine with anything else.

I agree with Steve on all of the above. I normally listen to my music in "Stereo" which adds my sub (and its xover points) into the mix so I dont notice a ton of bass difference. I will say the PBJ mate well with the LSi series speakers.

All my Hero's are Ultraplate as well.

Another thing to point out is I've got some instances of noise coming through the PBJ's that wasnt there with the Hero's.

When I am playing Halo on Xbox 360 and I move over a persons name to look at their stat's, their is a brief hiss that comes through in addition to the sound.

I only hear this hiss when play games on the XBox 360 and its not super annoying and I could live with it, but wanted to point that out.

I believe this is because the Hero is a shielded cable and the PBJ is not. The Hero is also directional (the heat shrink arrow tells you how to run them) and the PBJ is not.

I am going to keep my Hero's because of the shielding. Just wish I had 1m pairs instead of a .5m and a 1.5m pair and a 1m single.

Next up for me is to try and see how the TC speaker cables sound. I love my 8VS internally biwired (perfect for the LSi speakers) but wonder how the TC sounds........ My wallet probably couldn't handle it though lol....
