RD-0194 or SL-3000 for SDA 2.3?

I would like to try replacements for the stock tweeters in my SDA 2.3. Should I get SL-3000 or RD-0194's?

If yours are SDA SRS 2.3's and not SDA SRS 2.3TL's you have SL2000's. The replacement is the RD0194-1. Besides, you cannot buy new SL3000's.Political Correctness'.........defined

It's not a matter of which one sounds better, it's a matter of which one is compatible with your speakers, as Jesse was saying. The RD-0194 is the replacement for the SL2000. The SL3000 is the original tweeter now replaced by the RD-0198 tweeter. If you have 2.3's, you can upgrade the SL2000's to RD-0194, which most agree sounds much better. If you have 2.3TL's you can replace the SL3000's with RD0198. The RD-0194 is not a replacement part for the SL3000, so it's not just a simple question of which sounds better. First step for you is to identify exactly which speakers you have.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Now if your wondering which model sounds better the 2.3TL, which is the newer model will accept the 198's which most here say sound better but that's a question of taste. I understand that some recommend upgrading the 2.3 to 2.3TL, including changes to the crossover and changing tweeters. My question would be, did the original tweeter sound better than the current replacement. Thanks

I've replaced SL2000's with RD-0194's in a pair of 1C's and the SL3000's with RD-0198's in my 2.3TL's. Never regretted either upgrade.____________________________________________________________
