FREE - Polk RTi10 crossover, essentially brand new (Polk sent wrong one via A7 warranty replacement)

** FREE ** (if you cover shipping)
I have the RTiA7's and had to have one crossover replaced under warranty. Polk CS was quick to ship - and weeks later when I went to install, I noticed the tweeter leads were about an inch short (the other three leads were just fine). I thought just a manufacturing fluke, so I cut off the spades, and spliced on about 6" from the bad crossover's wiring as I needed the speaker at least working as I was calibrating my audio in two days w/ a buddy that was bringing over his Audyssey Pro kit.
So I called Polk about the "too short" crossover and was told they had sent me the RTi10 crossover by accident. So the short lead debacle now made sense. So an RTiA7 crossover was sent out and just arrived today. So I'll have a spare RTi10 crossover available (with the spliced tweeter leads) if anyone wants it. No cost (except shipping) as I have no use for it and maybe someone out there needs one for an out of warranty RTi10. Local Seattle-area buyers could be met at a convenient location for a quick hand-off. This crossover has not even seen 10 hours of use.
I did cut the spades off at the very end (see pic below) of the RTi10 crossover, so maybe you could remove the two connectors, crimp on two new spades, and still have it reach your tweeter.
The pic below shows the two crossovers side-by-side: RTiA7 on left (note the burned-ish looking spot), RTi10 on the right. Guess that damn Eagles Farewell I Tour Blu-ray at reference levels quite a few times did it in...
Also, I have the two RTiA7 6.5" midranges that were also replaced under warranty (slight rubbing) that I'd also give away for free, in case someone out there is able to repair them...just pay for shipping.
Pic for those interested in a "nekkid" A7:
Truthfully, I think this one speaker just has a drinking problem - I've found it passed out on the floor like this too many times now: (this pic just cracks me up...)

"Activity", perhaps? No PM...weird. Anyway, it's yours if you want it! I'll just ship it in the Polk box, shouldn't be more than $10...Main HT:JVC DLA-RS45135" Elite Screens fixed frame, 1.1 gainMarantz SR7007 (operating as pre-pro)Emotiva XPA-1 x3 (L+C+R), UPA-7 (surrounds)Oppo BDP-103D/BDP-83Toshiba HD-XA2Panamax M5410 Pro x3Polk LSiM707s, LSiC706, 80 F/X-LS, 65-RTSeaton Sound/MCCA MFW "Turbo" + custom Dayton SA1000 sub amp (orig. I can use it if la changes his mind. Thanks!!!

After further review, it belongs with someone who needs it rather being stuck in a frankenpolk. Thanks for the offer. I'll finesse.

I'd really like to know what value caps/resistors/etc they use on these? I have a pair of RTi10s that I was thinking about modding but have no idea what to buy without taking mine apart.
AS far as I know there is no info on these on the Forum either, I looked. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Sorry, haven't been here in a bit. Crossover still available to whoever wants it - frankenpolk or otherwise, I won't ask questions...
Polrbehr, might this be worth looking at to see how you might be able to mod your own crossovers?Main HT:JVC DLA-RS45135" Elite Screens fixed frame, 1.1 gainMarantz SR7007 (operating as pre-pro)Emotiva XPA-1 x3 (L+C+R), UPA-7 (surrounds)Oppo BDP-103D/BDP-83Toshiba HD-XA2Panamax M5410 Pro x3Polk LSiM707s, LSiC706, 80 F/X-LS, 65-RTSeaton Sound/MCCA MFW "Turbo" + custom Dayton SA1000 sub amp (orig. So I am repairing a rti10 that needs a midrange and possibly the crossover. Getting a lot of distortion at the midrange and speaker is reading 3 ohms. Are they not the same midranges in the rtia7 and rti 10's? And can I ask what you mean by rubbing on the midrange? Put me in line where ever that may be. Thanks !HT System

After a long dry spell here, the crossover is finally on the way to polrbehr. Life has been busy for me lately, so apologies for not being active here too much.
dekuda - I tossed the old mid's a few months ago. The "rubbing" was a slight scraping sound if you moved the cone by hand, and the sound was definitely off from what it had been prior. I have no idea if that's something that could even have been fixed...
polrbehr, maybe you can post up the info after you have a chance to inspect all the parts?Main HT:JVC DLA-RS45135" Elite Screens fixed frame, 1.1 gainMarantz SR7007 (operating as pre-pro)Emotiva XPA-1 x3 (L+C+R), UPA-7 (surrounds)Oppo BDP-103D/BDP-83Toshiba HD-XA2Panamax M5410 Pro x3Polk LSiM707s, LSiC706, 80 F/X-LS, 65-RTSeaton Sound/MCCA MFW "Turbo" + custom Dayton SA1000 sub amp (orig. I will certainly do that, I was a little disappointed that the specs for these were never published in that thread
