Yes indeed another great Polkie to add to my list. Thursday night Al (scubalab) drove down from Easton, PA to my home in Magnolia, NJ...about 1.5 hr drive. Al brought a nice bottle of wine & was a perfect gentlemen. This is what it's all about. Meeting great folks who just so happen to enjoy audio. He was picking up the Rotel RMB-1075 multi channel amp be bought from me. I had held it for me till we could make the arrangements other than shipping. I had it all set up & he got a first hand listen to it's prowness & was very impressed with it's performance.
I first put on a few snipets of BD's to highlight the amp's performance...hit a 10 on all accounts. I wanted to do more BD's because the RMP-1075 was providing the muscle. Then we dove into a few tunes thru 2 channel (my D-Sonic mono's were in play here) not the RMB-1075. This amp will be a nice addition to his growing, evolving HT/2 channel system. The perfect building block.
My wife had made a nice hearty beef stew accompanied with my favorite sour dough bread. We finished up with coffee & a scrumptious butter cake. I knew Al couldn't stay that long because of the long drive back but we made the most of it. I'm hoping Al had a great (short) night as I did.

Phil, your KEF's are on my must hear list someday lol.
I want to get my ears on the ARX speakers, those KEF's and some Paradigms again cause its been a bit.
Those 3 are at least in my stratosphere price wise lol...

Awe, thanks Phil! What a nice thing to say and post. I had a very nice time meeting you and your wife. Your hospitality, kindness, and sharing of information was top notch!
I do have to say I was somewhat "off my game" that night. It had been a long week of traveling and physical/mental exhaustion. We lost my grandfather earlier in the week, and combined with the many miles/late nights of driving, teaching two days straight, and living out of a hotel a few nights, I was not up to par. That said, I really did have a great evening. The dinner and desert was fantastic... there's nothing like a home cooked meal especially when on the road. The conversation was great and quite educational. The movie snippets and tunes were incredible.
I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer, but thoroughly enjoyed the short time I got to spend with you. Perhaps we'll have the chance to continue our conversations at the next Polkfest. I've always wanted to get to one. This is a fine group of folks here, and I'm happy to be a part of the Polk family.
Additionally, Phil (Pearsall001) is one heck of a guy as well. Great seller, great host, and proud owner of some awesome audio setups! If you ever have the chance to meet him or purchase from him, don't hesitate!

Agreed! Just about every piece in our HT and 2 channel was either bought from some fine folks here, or with the help and advice of the members here.
It is a great place... even if you can't say 'c.r.a.p.' anymore!
Although, Tony, sometimes we need the friendly spats... it sure would get boring if everyone agreed! Everyone would have SDAs and tubes! (Oh no I didn't!) -
... it sure would get boring if everyone agreed!
Yes, but now it takes more of an effort to start the spats since we can't just push the "Disagree" button and move on. Now, if we want to ruffle someone's feathers we gotta actually form sentences and stuff!
And...will someone please tell me what the "Vote Up" button is for?
Further, aren't the "Agree" and "Like" kind of similar in meaning? Button-wise anyway?
Way further, is "Awesome" kind of at the end of the "Agree - Like - Awesome" continuum?
