subwoofer placement

I have a real narrow but long living room, but can fit the 55" big screen, polks, bridged entertainment center and cht 15 subwoofer. Doesn't leave room for anything else and the tv is not centered.
Got the idea to put the subwoofer in the entertainment center. Looks kind of cool, and brings the subwoofer about 24" off of the ground. The subwoofer does seem to run a little hotter with maybe just a liitle extra boominess. Anybody have any suggestions or does this sound like a good way to go.

No it doesn't seem to rattle things, and I did have it in a corner. But it "fits" better in the entertainment center. Does anybody know if having it off the ground like that does anything to the bass response?
Thanks

pic?
A spot in the corner to the left or right of the TV is usually best. However, I do know that the CHT 15 can produce a ton of bass even when not in a corner. You'll just have to experiment and see what you like.
Heat wise, the CHT 15 can get hot even in open air. I would remove the back panel of the cabinet where the sub is sitting at.
