    That really shows nothing, proves nothing. That's more of a shearing strength test, and a very poorly controlled one at that. A more legit test of the strengths of these epoxies would have been to pull straight vertically on the bolts, not exert pressure from the side of the bolt.

    I thought it was interesting. The question is what is the correlation between shear strength and the other kind that teekay refers to.

    (FWIW) If I am looking for strength, I like to use slow curing epoxy (and apply some gentle heat during the process if at all possible).

    When it comes to epoxy, WEST System is the way to go. Available at boating shops.
