Magnifi soundbar- controls freeze

I bought a magnifi soundbar back in November of 2014 and shortly after getting it it freezes and I can't adjust the volume or any other control on the remote and/or the speaker unit. The only resolution I have found is to unplug the soundbar power cord. With the huge price tag I paid for this at Best Buy this is unacceptable. Sounds great when its working, but when it freezes, it's a real pain. Anyone have any ideas or do I try going through the warranty challenge of sending it back and then being without TV sound until I receive a new one?

mine also does the same and i have to unplug power cord then reconnect. then i have to reconnect my bluetooth devices. real pain
is there a software update for this device or something?
