Know anything about this RM1000 "sub"?

My assumption is that it wouldn't add anything to my setup that doesn't already exist and would be better for someone running small satellites or bookshelf speakers, is that correct?

Hello,
It was part of the RM3000 system, two of the RM2000 satellites and the single RM1000 bass unit. It contains two active 6.5" drivers and the passive 10" and has a built in low pass filter.
Cheers, Ken -
So I am correct in that this wouldn't really add any bass to a pair of RTA-12's that doesn't already exist being as I already have 4 6.5" drivers and 2 12" passives in much larger enclosures? Someone near me is selling this for $25.
I appreciate the response, Ken.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

In my opinion, probably not add that much bass information. Plus you would have the difficulty of not being able to adjust the output level of the RM1000 with respect to the RTA-12s. They were intended for a specific blending with the older satellites.

I'll let someone else grab this. Seems like a good deal at $25. I forget what it was called but this kind of reminds me of the even older passive "sub" that was basically the RTA-12 without the tweeter and crossover on top.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

That would be the LF-14.
