Speaker Upgrade question and down size
Hey Guys,
I'll start off with my current setup. RTI70,cs400i,fx500i,Pioneer VSX-53,Adcom 5500&5503. I also have a pair of LSI7's that I use for music only. I do have to say after upgrading to the Pioneer and running the calibration, the RTI's sound better than they ever have for music. Which is why I bought the LSI originally I felt the RTI's were lacking.
I will be going with the CSIA6 and FXIA6 but my question is will either the RTIA7 or 9's at least come close or even sound better for music than the lsi'7? I want to be able to listen to music and use my HT speakers for that and sell the lSI's.
Thanks
David

Hello David,
First of all you have a great AVR and plenty of power with those amps.
As for the speakers they are two difference series. the Rti a are 8 ohm and the Lsi 7 4 ohm so they are going to sound difference.
I've only had a short time listening to the LSI but I did like what I heard and from what I've read they have a lay back sound as apposed to the Rti a which have a brighter sound.
I own both the Rti 7 & 9 paired with a parasound amp and really enjoy them for Movies and Music.
So my opinion is yes Rti a9 more so then the Rti a7 would be a good trade off but that being said it's your ears and money.I would try and have a listen first before you buy.
Cheers
