Recommend Some Small Footprint Monitors
I am rethinking my secondary system, which consists of a Rotel stereo receiver at this point.....space is huge issue constraint so I'm looking for small bookshelves which can sit on a lower profile stand. Any ideas....looking for something around 7" tall max....used in good shape is acceptable.

I look on AudioAdvisor and almost everything was over 8.6"
how about a speaker you can maybe turn on it side? like in this pic of Arcam solo's

Monitors around 7" tall.....the smallest I can find while it not sounding like crud. If I flip them on their side the width can only be 4.5 inches....which is not a lot.

Orb Audio? I think most things in the size you are looking for are going to be around 100hz. No sub?

I was going to say KEF LS50's, but they are 11.9" H, although they are a concentric design speaker, you could turn them on their 'side' - only 7.9" W
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -

Energy classic take satellite speakers:
Each satellite measures 6.9 by 4.1 by 4.1 inches (HWD) and weighs 2.9 pounds.
It's part of 5.1 package but amazon and other sellers sell just the satellites.
Or, old realistic minimus 7.

On a book shelf you wont need a sub, they will match well with a Rotel.
