Dave Mason concert

Saw Dave Mason last night, great musicians with him, played a set of mostly Traffic songs, then a set of "Dave" songs and covers others did of songs he wrote which have been many. Sadly, less than half full concert hall. I forgot Dave played on Electric Ladyland (acoustic guitar on All Along The Watchtower) and with so many others musicians/bands

    Saw him in Durham and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good background stories and slides, energetic playing. New arrangements of old songs were excellent. Glad to see him still stretching artistically. Pleasantly talkative after the show while signing his new vinyl. Think I'll put it on now in fact.

    I saw him last year and his band was terrible .No bass player the keyboard player was horrible and his 2nd guitarist wasn't all that great either. His playing was superb and it was a Traffic fest then some nutty girl kept screaming for All Along The Watchtower which is his finale song and told her to shut the f up. I've seen him much better w/ the bigger band .His modified Telecaster was beautiful, all shaved down w/ all gold fittings and a humbucker in the bridge position which is uncommon. He is one of the most fluent guitarists around but again this band for me did nothing.
