Can someone with an original vinyl copy of Neil Young's "Harvest" (1972) tell me where in the soundstage they hear the vocal on the first two tracks on side 1. Thanks!

Hmm, sounds like I may have some troubleshooting to do. My vinyl copy sounds like he is to the left on at least the first track or two, but other records like Dire Straits first album sound flawless. Vocals dead center and crisp imaging of all instruments.2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

I wonder if the SDAs crosstalk cancellation is making a minor issue more apparent. I brought the album to work and played it on two different systems and it seems that there is a slight difference in the EQ or reverb on the left channel, somewhat brighter or something. On my citation 11/12 setup if I use the stereo/reverse knob to swap channels it moves to the right channel. Have you had your album since new? Perhaps it had a bad experience with a previous owner and a poorly aligned cartridge. (or else on a stock Crosley from Urban Outfitters).
I listened to side A and it didn't have a whole lot of stereo information--SDA was not much in evidence.Jay

I've heard this same anomaly on the k.d. lang album, "Ingenue." In one song she's off center to the left and it modulates back and forth from left center to center. Weird.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

Listening right now to a 1972 pressing on a Pioneer PL530, ortophon om5e, Marantz pm5004, monitor 5A. Neil is a little to the left. Tried it with a Grado G silver and it is the same.

Thanks Stan! This makes me feel quite a bit better, I thought he sounded a bit left when I took the album to work as well but that system isn't setup very well for imaging as it's just tucked in a corner.
I think I'll just leave the system alone for now, other records seem to sound fine.
Thanks everyone for the responses. I've now listened to this album enough that it's one of my new favorites!2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server -
I have a German pressing of Harvest but digging it out will be a chore, however did find the TDK SA 90 that I copied it onto played it through my Denon deck. I played Out On The Weekend, and Harvest on the 2Bs and I only noticed it because you mentioned it, a tad left, put in the CD pretty much the same results. I don't think it is anything to worry about.Home Theater

Left on my legacy's but for s&g since sda were mentioned, I found the sda effect kind of messes the soundstage up a hair a d gives him a weird hollow echo sound on the 2.3's.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.
