If you guys remember and it's all that not hard to forget how I NEVER bought into the boutique speaker wire debate that will never cease. I'm talking of parameters, of which the constructed materials and of the final precision and of course cost. A friend of mine offered the deal, which if worked will convince me towards going to the other side. He said I have fairly new Audio Quest 10' speaker cables which have bananas on the speaker ends and bare wires on the other ends which goes into my spkr. selector. So I think I can go for some cables that's both affordable and have a definitive positive impact on the final sound. I did check out MITs, Kimber, Canarre, my own BLC and Signal Cable, all noteworthy competitors and way out of my wallet's very slender appearance..

I think you will benefit from trying new cables. Not sure what you have now. Your electronics are of such caliber you should be able to hear a difference with superior cables/wires. I didn't quite understand your explanation of your friend's "deal" whether he was loaning you or selling you the Audioquest cables. Try a few at a time, go back and forth with the same music, that you know well, using the same source. Many high-end brick and mortar audio salons may have some loaners for you to try. Not all costly cables are worth it. Listen to the people on this forum, they know this stuff. I have learned a lot, just from reading here. Good luck and let everyone know what you HEAR.

The deal was if I liked them and if they worked for me it would be $50 for 2 10' lengths. They are clean, no fraying and all bananas were put on correctly. I looked up some MIT Cables and most were bi-wire which I don't need and a lot were not even long enough. This was a sale and he came over w/ a smile on his face once I was done and I said they are staying where they are right now. Speaker ends had stubby compression bananas and the other end I could strip and come not even close to the shrink tube to fit my spkr. selector. For those who can afford to p/u whatever may tickle your fancy all power to ya and I sincerly mean that, unless I hit this giganto lottery this will not happen any time soon. I was using BLC Belden 12 gu and BJC Belden analog I/Cs which are staying for now. (Nice cartoon)
