Anthem HC hacked

Just FYI, if you have Anthem as your HC provider:

I could care less if they can get to my medical records or not.......please don't find out I broke my arm 10 years ago......I'm more worried about my SSN and other info that makes opening accounts in my name easy to complete. Sigh....

Just as a precaution I put a fraud alert on all three credit reporting agencies.

I have my Anthem Blue Cross bill automatically charged to my credit card so it seemed like a wise precaution.

Yes, I think that's a safe move. Supposedly they're going to provide us with free credit monitoring tools, as I think the most valuable items that were accessed were our SSNs and other info that could be used to open credit in our names. Good article from CNet here on Anthem dragging their feet on providing those monitoring tools, or any updates really. It's sad that these companies scramble to PR clean up mode instead of protect our customers mode....
