I really hope he's better. Not funny, if he didn't have his youth, he might have died. Back in my day we would have enlarged and framed the article and placed it behind the bar. At least they didn't name the lad in the paper. Oh to be 21 again!

There are a lot of St Patrick days I don't remember never foamed at the mouth but had lots of green beer and rye pass through my mouth both ways. For some reason large amounts of those two beverages don't mix well with corn beef and cabbage, yet every year I try to make it work. Believe me it's not a pretty sight with that going on and green beads hanging around my neck.
The only cure for the day after St Patrick's day is a few excederin and a couple of Shamrock shakes. Yeah me and my buddy are pretty much on our own as for some reason our wife's refuse to go anywhere with us on Saint Paddy's day.Home Theater

I really don't drink much anymore, maybe a couple of beers a week with a meal, an occasional mixed drink. When my summer golf league starts maybe more than a couple beers afterward. When everyone asks how I got an eight on par three, I say I made a 20 foot putt.

My first St. Patrick's day in the Navy, I was stumbling through Catania, Sicily all night trying to speak Spanish to everyone, including a 40 year old Italian woman from base. I kept introducing myself and such, in Spanish, even though 1, she speaks English, and 2, I obviously knew her. Good times, cut way back since I have joined. I guess I have been fortunate since I have never developed a tolerance for alcohol. I can't drink any more now at 65 than I could at 21. After 9-10 beers I am out for the night. The biggest difference is at 21 I could function the next day.
