Is it worth it to use dynamat and hurricane nuts on a ported speaker?

Recapping a pair of pinnacle PN6+s. I guess dynamiting makes sense but should I bother with the hurricane nuts?

IMO, absolutely.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

No! Dynamiting them will certainly blow them to bits, making them worthless and someone might get hurt in the process.
Using Dynamat Xtreme on them is a given though.
The hurricane nuts would also be a good idea as it would make the driver baskets and the baffle operate as one.

Ha, nice pickup there. Although that damn autocorrect is probably to blame. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

What he said. Better coupling the drivers to the front baffle would have sonic benefits. The dynamat would help if the driver baskets are stamped steel. If they are cast, not as much."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
Internal pressures are higher (at the tuning frequency) in a ported enclosure than in a sealed enclosure. Passive radiator systems are essentially ported enclosures. basically the answer is yes: it would be even more important than in a sealed enclosure due to the increased pressures. If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

IMO, absolutely. Just be sure to not over dampen or the results will be more negative than positive.
