speaker wire length equal or not

I have a a logistical situation where 1 of my 2bs is like inches away from my amp but of course I'm using about 5' for slack and cleaning. The other is about 7' away and I'm using a good 11' feet for that spread. A friend of mine is offering my to try some Audiquest FLX-12 /2 w/ fixed bananas on both ends at 11' feet each. I did hear that no matter what the spread is you should keep both lengths the same. Is this true and would these be better than the BJC Belden 12 gu. I'm using now w/ cut up lengths ?

    Won't matter LW, grab them. Sometimes though with excess cabling people want to coil the wire. This, depending on the cable, can pick up added noise. Only one way to find out right ?
