I Finally Signed Up on the Polk Forum!!!!

Hello, everyone! I’ve been a reader of the Polk Forum on almost a daily basis since around 2006. I know I have no valid excuse for not joining previously. Anyway I just registered today. I had well over two hundred posts bookmarked from the previous iteration of this forum that now lead nowhere. Had I known they would no longer be linked and their photos and data gone I would have printed them to a pdf to save such valuable information. But that is old news. So I’m almost 60 now, live in the Midwest, purchased my first Polk’s in 1986 a set of 10B’s which I still have. I have also acquired many other sets of Polk speakers, thanks to reading this forum late into nights. I have the 1.2TL, 2.3, 1C, 2A, CRS+, four sets of 10’s of various versions, three sets of 7’s of various versions, 5Jr+ Series 2, and original 4’s w/Peerless for the vintage and RT-5, Four RTi4’s and a few other of the newer ones. I would like to upgrade some of my SDA’s as they are all stock and are in very good condition. I hope I can make some meaningful contributions here also. I am not looking to make any immediate sales or purchases. Will probably be looking far down the road to find some nice separates as that is my weakest link. I will abide by the 100 post rule. I have several questions on a variety of topics I will hopefully post in the correct categories. Anyway thank you all so much in advance, I’m looking forward to great things ahead. This is a great forum and will be the first audio forum for me. I wasn't sure in which category to place a first post like this as there really is no welcome area category.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

I can honestly say I've never bought a complete speaker from Ebay. Now I might have purchased one, two or... 6511's there. Wink.

  • I just came back from a nice little road trip from Indiana... I picked up a second SRT with the control center! I now have an SRT Seismic system. The two extra subs I'm using are my dual PSW1200's. I call it my version of the seismic (four satellites, 4 subs, 2 centers, 2 control centers, & 2 PSW1200's). Although the SRT subs are in a "bandpass" configuration, the dual PSW1200's still put out good bass. I'm content with it for now!
For the rear surround, I'm using my RT3K's.
It's an amazing sound. I'm just fine tuning it, having a pretty hard time with it, adjusting the MCACC with the SDA is a little tricky. Trial and error, But getting there. Slow and steady!
Moving all those speakers around at 40, can tire you out....
