We were supose to get 4-6 inches think we got around 8-9 inches of the wet heavy stuff, they said some areas could get up to 10 inches im thinking that we are in that area spose to taper off later today, got some cleaning up to do before the game dang it all. I have the biggest house and yard on the block with a lot of sidewalk and a big hill going to our garage, I will be busy for a while double dang it all.

We're getting our "dose" of new snow starting around midnight. The forecast is for up to 18" over the 24-hours following. It is also supposed to be very, very cold; so, at least, it is not likely to be that heavy, wet snow that is so miserable -- and tiring to move.

My sympathies are with you. While you're using the shovel, take your time and be safe!

Looks about right, the drive to HyVee this morning was fun. Saw a few people stuck on Hickman trying to get up a hill, excuse me while I drift by your stuck car sideways laughing. Always fun. Thankfully the SB party I'm going to is a block away, strap on the yak tracks and go.

Measured 12 inches on the patio this morning in far western West Des Moines...and it is still coming down. NWS says another 3-5 inches before it quits...and we have a nice 25mph wind with 30+mph gusts out here...yay!

I'd say we're at 13 inches just got in from the first part of the clean up we could see another 3-4 inches the snow was pretty heavy and broke a few branches on our tree pulled the mediacom cable right out of the side of the house so no Internet or tv power is out in some areas no super bowl for me unless I hook up an antenna.xoimo1kpjcst.jpg

Dang it all the only good thing is the neighbor lady gave us a 25 dollar gift certificate for Culver's for digging her out. Here is some sideways pics from the phone only have 4G regular broadband is down.

Send that snow to the mountains out here in CA. We need it bad. If we have year 4 of drought we are going to be hurting big time this summer. Between no water for the yard, reduced water for farmers, mandatory rationing, and raging brush fires everywhere, it will be a rough year. I don't even want to think a 5 year drought will bring.

Feelin' bad for ya, dude! To say that we got a "dusting" up here would be generous. I attacked it with a BROOM and had the driveway and sidewalk done in about 10 minutes. :)

Be careful out there all of you that got dumped on, especially in the case of the wet/heavy stuff.

I talked to my brother yesterday who is in IC, he said he spent twenty five minutes trying to get his car out but only ended up with one half in the yard and the other in the driveway. I'm in Urbandale, about to venture out to WDM, snow doesn't stop work.

I dug out yesterday afternoon. Spent nearly 2 hours shoveling my tiny little driveway and that was with the bare spot from my car. The 4 or so feet tall drift on the south side of my car made for some fun times.
