Hi all,
It's been a while but I'm still loving my 1Cs. I cleaned out my shop this weekend and decided that I should pass on my extra pair of end caps. These took mainly hours of labor to build but it was all worth it. Waterproof teak oil, so never any water spots/rings. They fit the 1Cs perfectly! How about $220 shipped? PM me with ?s.

Nice!
Just a helpful suggestion, you might want to replace the feet with spikes to couple the 1Cs t the floor . . . .

Yeah, I actually have some brass spikes but haven't tried them yet. Here are a couple of pics in better light.

You can either glue them with silicone (or something similar), or drill 4 holes in the top and bottom of the cabinet, place the end cap where you want them, mark the holes on the end caps from inside the cabinet, drill, and use something like this:
1/4'' -20 x 1-1/2'' Steel Hanger Bolts

$150 shipped?
-
Last chance at $100 plus shipping (free local pickup in Seattle). These are very nice at take 1/4-20 spikes or feet. They come with the feet in the photo.

Wow, those are very nice! If Larry hadn't done such a superb job on the ones I have, I would be all over these. They look much nicer than stock...really can't believe they're still available.
-
Thanks! I just want to find them a good polkie home! They cost me much more than $100 to make, not to mention many hours of labor.

Are these the same as those for the wood-capped 2B's?
-
The same question just occurred to me... are they close to the size of the 2Bs? I just measured my 2B endcaps and they are 11.5 x 16.5 inches. I actually have the caps pulled off of mine right now (tops at least) since they were used as plant stands by the previous owner. I'm sure when I get done with them they won't look as good as these.
If Dave passes and the dimensions are close, consider me in. -
I will check the dimensions tonight and get back to you guys. Stay tuned.
-
The 1C end caps are also 11.5" x 16.5". Sounds like they will work for the 2Bs! Still interested?
-
I am, but I'll give Dave first dibs since he asked about this first.
-
I'll pass.
-
My lucky day... I'll send a PM to work out the particulars.

Just got them home and checked them out, and they are a perfect match size-wise. So, for the record, 1C and 2B endcaps are identical.
These caps are even prettier in person, the walnut was a great choice. Thanks again! -
Thank you Scott! Enjoy the 2Bs!

Post some pics once you get the new end caps on them. Some pics of the process, in case some others are so inclined, would be nice too.
Congrats to you both, on the sale and purchase of some beautiful 'caps!

Thanks! And thanks to Dave too for letting them go. It's very much appreciated.
I'm not much of a documentarian, but I'll try and do a better job with these, since this pair will be undergoing a more complete transformation than anything I've done before. It may be a while before the caps go on though... the 2Bs are at the beginning of their journey and the caps will probably go on last so I have less chance of scratching them up while fussing with the rest of the internals... those'll come first.

I had my own grief w/ deep water stains on the tops of my 2Bs. With F-1s help I did the Oxalic acid bleach treatment then sanding, finally some dark walnut stain and 5 coats of satin poly. I really hate White Oak as speaker furniture to begin with and then to have them water stained, they had to be restored. Yours out of Teak obviously look great and I also wondered about the fit between 1Cs and 2Bs. One is before , then after and finally w/ the poly finish
