The house remodel fun

Well, some may remember I was remodeling my house like 4-5 years ago, truth be told that never truly stopped...

I picked up again full steam ahead back in November.

So far I have removed a corner separating my living room and kitchen, moved my master bedroom door from the kitchen into the hallway and turned that area into a pantry...

So now I am currently gutting the entire kitchen and will be adding a coat closet and a half bath...

Fun fun fun!

I attached a picture of my master - I still have to put down quarter round and install some hardware along with misc painting but it is coming together :p

    Excellent! We have about 400 sq ft of laminate flooring to put down. I am really thinking hard of hiring someone to do it :)

    The flooring in the picture is hickory, it is a little thicker than 3/8" thick with a 1/8" thick top layer of hickory. If you look around online you can find nice wood flooring for around the same price of laminate, just fwiw

    I love remodeling. Unfortunately i only have one bathroom left to do but that'll be done in the spring. Then she might end up on the market so i can start over again somewhere else.

    You've done quite a bit to that house. Landscaping, and i remember your friend did all that tile work for you which came out great. Gutting a kitchen can be a hassle. I did mine last year and am overall quite happy with it. Sadly, since i did it myself it took longer than anticipated and my wife could have killed me.

    Really admire folks who can do all that stuff themselves. We thought about wood, but it is a serious high traffic area. Heard wood chips, dents and scratches a bit easier. I want to fire and forget on this one. Going directly on cement.

    No wonder my xovers took so long....LOL... Looks great dude... I love tile and wood but both are acoustically challenged... carpet....let's you spike them **** in... my new house had tile and hardwood all over the place.... In the words of Chief Inspector Clouseau... "Not any muire".

    Too late as we already bought the stuff. Good deal, no refunds. A pool table will be going in shortly, i hope. The other room is where the beer fridge, dog stuff and basic utility overflow. Dog has accidents in there from time time. Wats ur eta to ccompletion?

    Over the past few weeks I have been moving my laundry stuff to the back of the house. It previously was in my kitchen (silly I think!). This was much harder said than done. I had to fish all of the plumbing through a small cut out in the foundation wall to the back portion of the house! I had to pre-make all of the elbows and joints before hand. The marks on the floor is just sheetrock dust, wiped right up (FWIW) :ovfw709iq1z0a.jpg
