Best center channel for the TSx's?
Looking to gather opinions on what center channel to match with my new TSx440t's. Obvisously the TSx250c is the better of the two TSx center channels, but is the difference worth the extra $100 ($299 for the 250c, $199 for the 150c)? My theater room is about 15' x 10', and power comes from a DENON AVR-X2100w. I currently have OWM5's and OWM3's for my rear and front height surrounds, but may switch them out for a couple pairs of TSx 110b bookshelves. Which center would be the best fit!?

Do you have a sub in your setup? When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Actually, with the TSx440t's, I am hoping to not have to purchase a new sub (just sold all of my speakers to make room for the new upgrades!) Again, pretty small house, and the theater room is only 15' x 10' and I never really used my PSW 110 anyway. Will the 440t's hold their own on the low end? And is the 150c center channel a good enough compliment to the 440's? I am really leaning towards the 250c.

both of these centers are 91db speakers so you will not have a problem with powering them. if you have the room get the 250 if not get the 150 both would do fine.
A few months ago we had a long lunch and went to Fry's and the guy in the stereo dept. was happy to play with us with a lot of Polk speakers. The 440 have a little more low end than the RTi8's I currently have in my HT but not enough for HT. The 550 you might be able to use without a sub. in HT so much is based around a good sub, I tried it to show the wife why we need the big box in the corner, she actually agreed. in the very least get a PSW10 when they are on sale for $80 or a PSW505 for $170 at the egg. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. I would not go any lower in size or quantity of bass than what the 505 sub can provide. It's a good budget recommendation. Sub is needed for home theater use. If only for 2 ch music then let your ears decide if the fronts are enough.
